Products
Our brewery chillers

We have several air-cooled and water-cooled brewery chillers that are custom-ready or in-stock and available for quick shipping. We can also engineer a customized brewery chiller based on your exact specifications.

What’s the difference between air-cooled & water-cooled brewery chillers?

Air-cooled brewery chillers use ambient air to remove heat from your brewing processes. They are energy-efficient, space-saving, and often part of a quick installation package that helps save money. Our water-cooled chillers use water from an external cooling tower to remove heat from your brewing processes. These systems are long-lasting, quiet, and boast similar energy-efficiency properties as the air-cooled units.

Selecting the right sized brewery chiller

When it comes to choosing the right size system, our team will guide you through the selection process before we begin engineering your solution. We’ll factor in several considerations to ensure your brewery chiller helps you produce beer that makes you shine, including:

  • Beer volume (bbl)
  • Pull-down/crashing loads
  • Active fermentation heat load
  • Wort heat exchanger secondary heat load
  • Brite tank holding load
  • Compensation factors for heat loss in pipes, pumps, and other equipment

Leave the brewery chiller size calculations to us! We’ll tally the figures we need to recommend the correct BTU per hour for optimal performance.

Benefits of our brewery chillers

Our robust line of industrial-grade brewery chillers come with many advantages, including:

Flexible redundancy options

With full or partial redundancy options, you’ll have the cooling capacity you need to keep your brewing equipment operating smoothly. With options including full capacity redundancy, full electrical isolation, dual or multi-circuit units, and auto-changeover redundant pumps, we’ll engineer a customized solution to meet your brewing needs.

Custom controls

Our engineers can custom program controls that make it easier for you to manage your brewing functions, including fermenter crashing. We also offer the option to upgrade to an MCS micro-controller that operates like a smart home technology system. These micro-controllers allow for tighter process control because you can monitor and adjust settings with the click of a mouse. Another custom control option available is called Chiller Guard, a feature that we can program to send an email or text message in case of an alarm.

High-efficiency options

If you’re looking for a high-performance brewery chiller, we offer a variety of efficiency options that can help you maximize your investment. Our EC condenser fan motors deliver electricity efficiency, energy savings, and more stable temperatures. Other high-efficiency options include:

  • Electronic expansion valves (EEVs)
  • Glycol economizer for free-cooling capability
  • Floating head pressure for efficient cooling in temperatures under 95°F
  • Heat reclaim options for hot water loop or hot liquor tank (HLT)
  • Pump variable frequency drive (VFD) for reduced energy consumption

Scalability

Whether you need a brewery chiller for one piece of equipment – or 100 – our engineered solutions can accommodate your future growth. From startup microbreweries to seasoned brewers on the move, our brewery chillers are designed to meet you wherever you are.

Brewery chiller customization

Brewery chillers are not one-size-fits-all. You need an engineered solution designed around the specific needs of your brewing operation. Our seemingly endless array of capabilities and customization options provide flexibility and peace of mind. Make your chiller work as hard as you do with add-ons and custom options, such as digital flow meters, circuit breakers, low-ambient protection, long-draw system add-on, phase monitor, fused disconnect, plate and frame brewery specialty heat exchanger, and more.

Our engineers can also build your system to handle specific requirements, such as:

  • Varying loads
  • Multiple pieces of equipment
  • Narrow temperature bands
  • Near freezing water
  • Low exiting temperatures
  • High return temperatures
  • Low or high ambient conditions
  • Corrosive environments
